I play games on my PC, mainly BF4. I have a 1650x1080 resolution monitor, and an hd7850. I can run BF4 averaging ~70fps, no motion blur or AA. I was wondering if getting a 1920x1080 monitor would be better than the one I have for gaming. I would probably lose some fps, so my main question is how would running BF4 on the second highest settings look compared to BF4 on ultra in 1680x1050? Is It worth the upgrade? The new monitor I was lookinG at is the VS247H-P. Right now I have a TCL 24inch LE24HDD20 TV. I'm pretty sure the color would be better on the new monitor, and the contrast ratio is a couple million more :p should I buy it?

Solution
1. looking from front:
IPS and TN looks similar if TN is good (in IPS all of them are very good)

2. looking from sides:
Huge difference (IPS colors still the same in all viewing angles. but TN colors will shift)

IPS is better than TN

I like the acer one, it's the same price I can get the VS247H-P for so I think I may go for it. Thanks :D! One more thing, do you think that bf4 on high in 1080p would look better than it on ultra in 1680x1050?

Yeah alright. And one last thing, I don't know much about monitors, so excuse me if this is a bad question, but if an IPS panel and a TN panel have the same contrast ratio and color amount and pixel pitch will the IPS still look better?
