Help with choosing Headset

Can anyone please help me choose a headset? I'm a console gamer, currently play on the ps3 but will buy the ps4 shortly so compability is a must. I'm questioning if to buy my first "high end" headset or to continue with my "mid quality" headsets. I was thinking about the astros a40(high end) and the tritons 720 + for "mid quality" Thank you for the help in advanced!

Okay. Here is my advice.

What is your price range? If price is not an issue for you, Astro a40s are by far the best. Very few people would argue with that.

If you need a headset that is less expensive though, these are a few options:

I don't like trittons. I prefer turtle beach if you're gonna look for a headset in that range but Astro a40's are far better than both.
