I have recently built a new gaming computer, and I get BSOD after playing games for a range of times. When I first got the computer, I had:
-ASRock 970 Extreme 3 R2.0 Motherboard
-Cooler Master M2 Silent Pro 720w PSU
-One XFX R7870 GHz Edition, PCI Express 3.0, 2GB DDR5
-One Samsung 840 PRO Series (128GB)
- Corsair Vengeance Pro 16GB (2 x 8GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM 1866
-AMD 8350 4.0GHz (4.2GHz Turbo) Socket AM3+ 125W Eight-Core
- Microsoft Windows 8 Professional (I have an upgrade disk and no CD key)

When I first got the computer with the above specs, it worked great and ran flawlessly, but I got a WD blue 1TB desktop hard drive: 3.5 Inch, 7200 RPM, SATA 6 GB/s, 64 MB Cache so I could have more storage space and after I installed that is when my computer started blue screening. To be more specific my computer blue screens on mostly all newer games randomly. I can play for 5 minutes sometimes, or other times 15-30 minutes. On some games it blue screens once, and then I can boot back up and play fine (Left for Dead 2) and other games I can always count on them blue screening (Planetside 2, Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon). Another error I get is a red screen sometimes when playing Blacklight Retribution. By red screen I mean that it is a solid red color with no text on it and it has the same effect as a BSOD. Another thing to note is that my BSOD are sometimes the windows 8 normal BSOD, but I also get something that looks like a BSOD, but where the text should be looks like white bar codes. Also once after I got a BSOD while playing Planetside 2, my computer went into auto-repair mode and I could not get it out of auto-repair. I tried just about every option, including putting my windows disk in and doing repairs from there, none of it worked and I ended up just re installing windows all together.
Thanks for Reading this post and please help.
(Also recently I have had it blue screen while just using Google Chrome with no games running so it is not just the games causing the problem)
