A lot of that depends on you what are you asking from your system and what are you needing? you could max it out if you wanted to.

I don't think it's worth upgrading yet. because the GTX 670 does well at 1080p.

For example a GTX 760 would be a step backward. A GTX 770 would be a small improvement, barely noticeable, definitely not worth $350 or so.
I'm with heisnburg on this one - add another GTX 670. (Assuming your MB has a free PCI-E x16 slot and your PSU is rated 750W or more).
Or just wait another year, until the GTX 780 Ti is much cheaper or something new and impressive shows up.

Max it out as in buying the faster cards and paying far too much money as others have said sli your 670 with another 670 provided your power supply will handle the load and your set for a few years.

Sounds good. But does your motherboard have slots for both cards?
