Front Audio Jack doesn't work

I have a Raidmax Seiran case and a MSI 970A-G46 motherboard. When I put headphones in the front panel audio jack,
Windows 8 detects that the headphones are in the jack, but at the same time, it says they are not plugged in. Help?
