My computer keeps shutting down when I start any game, based on my research my best guess its due to some kind of compatibility error between the motherboard and the GPU. I have already updated my BIOS and I have downloaded the latest nvidia driver. How can i fix this? or what could be the problem?

Motherboard: Intel dh87rl
GPU: nvidia gtx 660 ti
Memory RAM: 32 gb

I checked with the Intel® Driver Update Utility and it says:

Product Detected NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660 Ti
Current Driver Installed 9.18.13.3221
This device is unknown or unsupported. Please contact the manufacturer for possible updates.

ps. its not due to temperature problems or to PSU problems. my temperatures are always below 60 degrees and i have a 650W PSU

still no solution, but thanks for the help animal.. after running OCCT: CPU, PSU and GPU tests, for an hour each, nothing went wrong and everything was normal. after that I decided to try playing a game while the GPU test was running to see if i could get any results, my computer crashed again and no data was saved as result from the GPU test
