I want a cheap gpu that will run bf4 on high settings and not have too many drops and also games like
Minecraft
Terraria
Day z
Ghosts
Them sort of games

For battlefield 4 specifically, the r9 270x is still a good card. With mantle coming soon for BF4, it will be even better. I have the 760 for my own reasons, but if you can save for it, it is worth it.


If price is really an issue, you can get this one for $230...

High: r9 270x 2gb.
Msrp: $200

I had the HD 7850 which is a weaker version of the r9 270 (non x) and I could play bf4 on high. Odd you want to spend a little more the Gtx 760 is $250 I have the Gtx 760 and can run bf4 on ultra.

So you think i should wait and get a gtx 760. I was thinking about getting this card but it was slightly;y too expensive but if its worth the money i will definitely save fore it.

I don't suggest it however because it is a reference model and it will run hotter (one fan) and wont overclock as good.

What are your reasons for having the card? Because i was only just getting into PC gaming and am expecting it to become a permanent thing

Then it that case, do get the GTX 760. It has less micro-stutter, It has a feature called shadowplay, which record with zero lag, and if you get a cool moment in a game, you press alt+f10 to save the last 1-30 min (user set) of gameplay. And the gtx 760 runs better on all games than the r9 270x.
