Good day,
I recently purchased an Asus VE278H monitor to use with my HP laptop, pavilion dm4. (core i7 M 640). The display adapters are ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5000 and Intel HD Graphic (first edition).
I'm hopeful you can assist me get rid of the inch wide perimeter of black space caused by overscan. I can't seem to find a way to compensate for it. I've tried to download AMD CCC but the install program won't install any of the graphic aspects. I have the most current driver from intel (8.15.10.2993) and according to the windows driver update, I have the most current driver for the ATI version also (8.911.0.0). Frankly, I don't understand why I have 2 graphic drivers...
Originally, I was running windows 8.1 but have downgraded to windows 7 to attempt to install other drivers, based on other issues i read people having. Although that has been fruitless and so far a big waste of time.
There appears to be no overscan adjustment on the monitor and no adjustment in the intel Graphics and Media Control Panel. Furthermore, in the Intel graphics control panel, I can't adjust options to allow for an additional display, so therefore when I try to create a custom resolution, it only adjusts the laptop display. So frustrating!
Any help would be great. I'm open to anything.
Thanks,
DM
