Storage: Seagate Barracuda 500GB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive

Case Fan: Apevia CF312SL-URD 120mm Fans
Power Supply: Corsair Builder 600W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply

Operating System: Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 (OEM) (64-bit)
Monitor: Asus VK248H-CSM 24.0" Monitor
Acer P221W 22" Monitor

So my problem is that my computer crashes randomly, where the sound either keeps playing or gets stuck and screen goes black. A simple restart fixes everything, but i'm still worried. However when i switch out my R9 280X with my GTX 650 Ti, the crashes stop. But also when i orientate my case so that it is resting on the side of the case with the motherboard, so that the R9 280X is orientated as if it were in a Bitfenix Prodigy, the crashes stop.

So my question is that, is my problem caused by a faulty/insufficient power supply, or is the slack the card has when the case is upright is causing issues?

Solution
Hoping this isnt the cause but i recently had to spend hundredss updating my gaming rig after i discovered a very hard to distinguish broken capacitor on my mobo was the cause of resets, crashes, freezes for the past 2 years i would scratch my head in agony. I was always able to play but the randomness and variety of issues mixed with that capacitor seeming fine but having 1 leg hanging off made for a very frustrating era in my pc gaming history.
