Hey guys, I'm building my first pc. It's primarily going to be used for offline gaming on games like skyrim.

900-1000 after shipping and rebates

gaming, light video editing, music making, internet

Already have one but might get another in the future

I have windows 7 home edition

Maybe but most likely not due to the processor not being a K

maybe on the future when parts prices go down

Would like everything to be fairly quiet, also any advice on building it would be helpful. Also in the future I'm buying a new mouse and keyboard so suggestions would be nice.

Why am I upgrading?
I have a 2012 gateway that can't play the games I want to play. ( also I'm posting it on eBay to sell if anyone's interested.)

Any advice on this build would be great thanks.

Here's the build:

Intel Core i5-4670 Haswell 3.4GHz LGA 1150 84W Quad-Core Desktop Processor Intel HD Graphics BX80646I54670

ASUS Z87-A LGA 1150 Intel Z87 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard

Seagate Barracuda ST2000DM001 2TB 7200 RPM 64MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive Bare Drive

Thermaltake TR2 TR-700 700W ATX 12V V2.3 & EPS 12V SLI Ready CrossFire Ready Active PFC Power Supply

I think that's it, the total comes out to $992.92 with discounts. Thanks!

Since you're buying an overclocking ready motherboard, you should get an overclockable CPU like the i5 4670k.
Also, 16Gb of RAM is too much, you don't need it. Go 8GB and upgrade the GPU to a GTX 770.

One more question, how would this build be with games like crisis 2 and AC4? Still good frame rate on higher graphics?

The GTX 770 will handle them well, but the 760 may struggle at max settings
