Hey there, got the 840 PRO installed and sadly, I didn't think to run the benchmark before installing my games and what-not. I haven't written too much to the SSD - It's only got ~65gb of data written to it (battlefield 4, utility software, and OS) - more will come in the future.

So, my question is about my benchmark results.. I will say that upon seeing these low (in my opinion) scores, I searched and found a thread on this forum telling me to follow this guide and utilize the tweaks it provides: http://www.computing.net/howtos/show/solid-state-drive-ssd-tweaks-for-windows-7/552.html

I did. I noticed a small increase in random read, but not much other than that... Here are my results:

Sequential Read (MB/s): 386
Sequential Write (MB/s): 264
Random Read (IOPS): 29997
Random Write (IOPS): 29304

This benchmark was taken with the Samsung Magician tool that is provided with the SSD.

Any information would be splendid, thanks.

Solution
Your motherboard has 4 SATA 3 (6Gb/s) ports. Double-check that your SSD is connected to one of the 2 Intel 6Gb/s ports (SATA6G_1 or SATA6G_2), not to one of the 2 ASMedia 6Gb/s ports.
See page 2-21 of your motherboard manual for the location of the ports.

Thank you very much. I could have sworn I had 4 ports, and thus was under the impression it was already connected to a 6 GB/s port, but you are absolutely correct.

Great benchmark results now! Thanks again!
