Hi guys, I hope someone can help.

I installed a 4770K on a ASUS Maximus IV Formula, and attached a H80i on the CPU. When I got everything setup, I booted the system up, All fans were working, including rad fans. The LED on the corsair CPU mount was white and everything seemed OK.

I install Windows 8.1 and after that, as soon as I boot the PC, a red light comes up for a second on the H80i CPU mount and then swtichtes off completely. Both rad fans aren't going either but their LEDS are on. I checked and rechecked the everything was plugged in properly which I think it is, I de-installed Windows and reset the CMOS to come back to a state where it work, but no luck either.

What did I do wrong?

It's a complete new build, all parts are brand new. It has:

asus Maximus IV formula
I7 4770k
Corsair h80i
A few additional fans
Samsung SSD pro series
Seagate 2TB barracuda
2 x pioneer bd writer
GTX 780 classified
16gb corsair vengeance pro
Evga supernova 750w 80+

I think that's it

Thanks

Edit: I have a feeling it because of windows but I can't be sure at this point. At this moment in time, windows is installed but no update has been done and no drivers have been installed. I did try to run corsair link but only the SSD and the CPU showed up. I suppose it's because no update was made

Just to CONFIRM:
- Did the system come-up; and boot into the BIOS?
- Can you at the moment start up into BIOS anymore?
- We're you able to load Windows 8 from the DVD drive?

Next Step:
I assume you have the stock CPU cooler from Intel still available? I would completely remove the Corsair from your system. Clean-up the silicon paste from the CPU. And, install the stock CPU cooler. Attach fan to 4 pin CPU fan header. And, Post your results.....
