Best solution for better performance?

Can someone tell me what I should change for the biggest performance boost for gaming? I have around 400-500$ to spend. I was thinking of either getting a really good intel processor and a motherboard or a GTX 770 but I wasn't sure if that would create a bottleneck on my cpu.

This is my rig:

Processor - AMD FX-6100 X6 3300MHZ
Graphics Card - Galaxy Geforce GTX 650TI
Ram - Kingston XMP 8GB 16000MHz
Motherboard - GIGABYTE AM3+ AMD 970 SATA 6G
SSD - Samsung 840 120GB
HDD - Seagate 3TB
Windows 8

If you upgrade to Windows 8.1 you will see an increase in gaming performance. Plus it's free (from Windows 8)! I would recommend getting the 770 because you won't see all that significant increase with gaming switching your processor, and it also messes everything up (divers, ect.) I have the 6300 and the 770 and it is awesome. It will handle everything I throw at it.
