I was wondering if a Biostar TA970 a good board. It has a combo discount with my processor. I was wondering if should get it? I also might over clock down the road so will it work with OC. I will be using this mainly for gaming.

Thanks!

for running a single GPU it will be a great board. But for Xfire/SLI and for overclocking it is not the best..it has a 4+1 power phase so it doesn't handle its voltages so great (overclocking), it does Xfire/Sli at x16 and x4 which means GPU #2 will only ever get 25% the bandwidth that card one gets. That means out of the 25% max theoretical gain on GPU #2, you will see a real world performance gain of maybe 10% (by adding a 2nd GPU in Xfire or SLI). So stick to one good GPU and keep the overclocking on the light side, or don't at all.
