Help! Everything I read buying outright has slow/bad graphic cards or i3 processors. I need recommendations for a system I can play MC w/heavy mods and stream them. Was going to build, but my comp died and can't wait now for the parts and to build it. I need at least 8gb RAM with ability to expand, preferably up to 32. I found this: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/desktop-8gb-memory-1tb-hard-drive/1822168.p?id=1219065400728&skuId=1822168&st=pcmcat143400050013_categoryid$abcat0501000&cp=3&lp=5 but the graphics apparently will hold me back and no HDMI output. Around that price to 700.00 at the most as I will be getting a screen too. I'm having MC withdrawals and need to keep streaming! Anybody? I'm in Indiana, BTW.

In terms of pre-built gaming for $700 won't get you a lot (as mentioned above)

http://www.ibuypower.com/Store/Intel-Z87-Core-i5-Configurator
$769 Intel Z87 Core i5 with a GTX 650 (2GB) - 8GB RAM

I was looking at other major retailers (cyberPC / Alienware) and they were pairing i3's with GTX 650 (meh on the processor) or stronger processors with a R7 250 2GB video cards (weaker than the GTX 650).

The default power supply is probably shoddy. I would strongly suggest upgrading to the Corsair CX500 V2 - 80 PLUS Bronze power supply for the $17, especially if you think you will upgrade the graphics in the future.

I don't mind upgrading if I can, Iwant to be able to as these are only going to get more intensive. And if I open it up to play with some friends, I need the memory. On the RAM question, most big mods (direwolf20, madpack for instance) require at least 4gb allocation to even run them. Then you add in streaming and @ 1080.

Building would be great, but I have to be able to get the parts fast and be able to do it quickly so I can get back online.

Exactly, pyro. I was excited when I first saw this, but w/no HDMI connection and that graphic card. So looking around at this price range, it's all i3's and that's what just died on me. It couldn't keep up and I'm not playing vanilla. Most of these mod packs are w/100-150 added mods. I won't keep all of those, but I still have to be able to allocate at least 4gb to them. Bacon, Lancey, Dire all allocate 8-10 to keep theirs running smooth.

So, what's the best time frame to get these parts and do it. No, I haven't built before but I'm pretty confident after watching multiple vids (lol) and taking apart older comps and rebuilding xbox-twice. I'm usually meticulous so I will check twice and cut once (carpenter idiom).

You're right, but with what I streamed w/ before, I know what it took. Just trying to download direwolf20, my previous wouldn't run it. It faulted before the world gen. And I couldn't allocate anymore RAM to it. I would like to be able to get something I can run with and add to, won't be able to get a whole new system in a year or anything. That's why I want something expandable. And I wanted to build it to have all the options open to me.

So give me a guesstimate, please on your best idea for a buildable now (and available parts now) that's not gonna break me. My spouse has cancer, so med bills are out the wazoo normally. I have an option to get something right now but life will come along and kick me.

That's why I'm here, to get some real world smart help from all of you.

I tend to put things back together and realize I have a few screws left over. Silly cheap all-in-one stereo equiptment and printers use sooo many screws.

I picked this as my answer even though I will probably change things a little. But thanks everyone for all your help. I'm hoping to get it done very soon and will let you know when I do.

Just a question, why the 8320 vs 8350?
