I get about 70-80+ fps on bf4 on ultra (have tried lower settings) but it feels much lower / it stutters. This happens even in campaign mode. I've tried vsync on / off and triple buffering on / off as well as installing the latest drivers for my graphics card and latest updates for bf4. My system is brand new; I only built it a few days ago. Here are the specs if that will help:

I7 4770k 3.5 ghz
16gb ram
1000w psu
780 ti
120gb ssd
3tb hdd
Win7 64 bit

1080p display 60hz

The only other game I've tried playing so far is dirt3 and that was also very choppy even at 100+ fps. This was solved by enabling vsync though.

Chances are the issue is Windows 7.

Unfortunately, Battlefield 4 was optimized for windows 8 utilizing the newest direct x cpu optimizations giving a boost in framerate and microstutter. After I upgraded to windows 8, my game was butter smooth and that is with an I7 paired with a single GTX 780 (80-120 fps on ultra 4XAA 32/64 player multiplayer).

I use Win7 64bit too and I don't have this problem, so I'm not sure if it's really a windows issue. I use i5 4670 + gtx 770 and it works great ABOVE 50 fps. Sometimes the frame rate drops a bit from that and I see stuttering. But with 70-80+ fps he should not have a problem.

I made this comment earlier today to a similar post. I have a similar system (W7 and GTX 780ti) and had similar problems. I adjusted the in-game network smoothing factor and it runs smooth as silk now.

I forgot to mention in my first post that this happens even in campaign mode. So I doubt changing the in-game network smoothing factor would help me. Thanks for the responses so far though.

my stutter seemed to disappear after disabling All my sound devices but one (my USB headset).
later I could re-enable my other sound devices and the stutter stayed away so far.
