Disk latency help?

Just finished building a new machine. Motherboard is a new ASUS Maximus VI Gene, and I am re-using my 2 internal hard drives, which are:

c: WD Black, model WD1001FAES-75W7A0 1 TB
p: WD Green model WD30EZRX-00DC0B0 3 TB

I'm noticing some latency after installing all the drivers when opening a setup.exe, or a zip file.

Attached are screen shots to CrystalDiskMark tests run on both drives.

They look kind of low numbers. Any thoughts?

Sata ports are in AHCI mode, yes.

Hmm, not sure about the Intel vs ASMedia ports. Suppose I'll have to RTFM to make sure I'm in the right slots.

Will check that and update!

You were right, I was in the asmedia ports. I moved to the intel ports, windows updated the drivers automatically, and I rebooted.

After the reboot, I ran the CrystalDiskMark again and got similar results.

I'm not sure if these are average numbers for HDDs or not.
