Hello, I've suffered this problem forever and only recently decided to try and fix it. But, there isn't much information that I can find and nothing has worked.

Whenever I am listening to things on my headset - music, YouTube videos, game music, etc - and talking to people with the microphone that is on the headset, everything that I hear is transmitted to the people I'm speaking with.

To make an analogy, it sounds as if I had speakers blasting music, and the microphone was picking up the speaker, but I'm using a headset.

I've looked through my sound cards settings and windows sound settings to no avail.

Headset: Razer Carcharias
Audio Card: Xonar DSX
O.S.: Windows 7 Pro

Thank you for your help

Hey Jakemaster,
This usually means that your outputting sound from your computer, is set as the mic.
What program are you using to talk to your friends?
If it is skype, make sure that you have the headset set as the mic, and not the "Windows Sound" or the soundcard.

Also, if you could open sound settings in control panel, go to the recording tab, and take a screenshot, that would be great.
