I bought this laptop secondhand- I dont know previous owner's admin password- thus cant add or change software help?!! please help

laptop is asus x54L
windows 7

bought secondhand - unable to contact previous owner -
how can I change administrator -
am currently unable to change or add / remove software -
for example my security has run out and now i cant update or change security software - what can I do - cant remove problems - they just fester in background !!
what can I do - please post a solution or suggestions - thank you so much

Contact the previous owner. We can't help you because you could be a thief with a stolen laptop and need help getting control of it. Not saying you are, just that you could be and we don't know. So the rules forbid us from helping people to circumvent security.

Forum rules preclude any assistance with getting around a password restriction.

And why are you using a used laptop with the old OS installation? Are you 100% certain there isn't a keylogger on there, sucking up all your passwords?
