Hi, I just installed a new HIS Radeon HD 6670 graphics card on my Gateway GM5474. The PC is completely factory except for 2GB of additional memory I added at the same time to give it 4GB total. The motherboard, CPU, and power supply are all what came standard.

After I installed it and booted the computer everything loaded fine, driver installed, I have a great picture, etc. However, I went to play a video on YouTube and it played about 2 seconds before cutting off and getting the YouTube error that it couldn't play the video. So I tried going to iTunes to play a movie trailer and upon opening iTunes it says it has detected an issue with my computers audio/video playback and may experience issues. Sure enough, I try to play a movie trailer and it doesn't even try to load. Final test was to try a DVD. My DVD player (VLC media player) said it could not play the DVD. I'm running Windows 8.1 64 bit by the way.

Does anyone know what the issue could be? Thanks!

did you install from amd the newest amd drivers and the video cable on the gpu and not the mb?? does gpu-z see the video card?? did you update your java and flash software?? a lot of online video use flash or java to play or use mp4 encoding. so you need the right plug ins.
