I have been researching dual band routers and would like so help on some of their basic operations. I am also planning of having a dual band NIC card.
A) I know that all of Netgear's Dual Band routers are "Simultaneous" . The ON button for the 2.4GHz and the 5.0GHz can each be turned ON so that they each have green indicators showing..
Question 1:
Will my router automatically determine what frequency of the 2.4GHz and 5.0Ghz is assigned to what device? In other words, if I wanted to stream a video to my desktop, will my router automatically know to switch to the 5.0GHz channel? Or do I have to manually set that up?
B) What happens if I have two tabs open. One tab has a streaming video running and the other table has my email open.
Question 2:
Will both tabs default to the 5.0GHz channel?
