how to boot os with dvd dual layer?

i have dell inspiron 15r 5521 which doesnot support usb booting my win 8 os iso size is about 4.5 gb so i can't write it in ordinary dvd. so i bought dvd dl and i tried writing with imgburn and win 7 usb/dvd boot software but it doesn't gets boot for dvd dl but the file was booting properly for my friends laptop when i write it on a usb drive. Is it possible to boot with dvd dl ? pls help.

4.5Gb fits to ordinary dvd as ordinary dvd can hold 4.7Gbs

i tried it it says only 4.3gb free for ordinary dvd

not sure what dvd you are using but all dvds fit 4.7GB try a different dvd ? and all original windows versions are on a regular dvd so they fit.

You have the wrong ISO, Windows 8 ISO should be around 3.5 gig for Pro 64 bit and 2.6gig for Pro 32bit.
