I have a desktop computer, and I have just bought this router with the hopes of being able to get my desktop connected to the wireless connection, but I am extremely stuck. Nothing works. I can connect just fine on a phone and my laptop. How can I get this connection onto my desktop? I have tried all three modes in the router configuration page, and it keeps changing my IP around automatically, but nothing is working.

When I try to set it as an access point, I get this error every time:

The IP address for your router has been changed. Please use the Device Discovery utility to search for your router's new IP address.

:
and then when I search for the new IP, and try to access the router config page via the new settings, I get this error:

Settings have been updated. Web page will now refresh.
Changes have been made to the IP address or port number. You will now be disconnected from RT-N12.
To access the settings of RT-N12, reconnect to the wireless network and use the updated IP address and port number.

Not sure why you spent all the money for that device. What you really need is a simple USB wireless adapter. Your only hope to use the unit you have is that it will work in repeater mode. This is very hit and miss since repeaters use something called WDS and it is not implemented constantly between brands of routers.
