I have a HP Pavilion Elite HPE-337C, it is:
Processor: i5 quad core 3.2GHz
Video Card: NIVIDIA GTX 650 1GB (upgraded from original specs)
OS: windows 7 home premium 64x
Power Unit: Corsair Build Series CX 600
RAM: 8GB GDDR3 (4x2GB sticks)
Motherboard: MS-7613 Iona

I need to know if I can upgrade my RAM and my processor, I was thinking 8GB of corsair RAM (hopefully that brand but will look at others) but I need to know if my system can handle 8GB also I need a faster processor, is a i7 good to go with my specs? Are there better ones for my system?

Also my 1.5TB HD is perfectly fine the way it is (whole poop ton of useless crap on it but still only about 1/3 full) but would I benefit from a better one?

Thank you to anyone who takes time out of their lives to assist.

Advantages of getting a ssd as a boot drive is everything will load a lot faster as ssd is non-mechanical as compared to hdd that is mechanical that has spinning disks. I do not see any point in investing into almost obsolete motherboard like i said before best step you can do to make it faster is get ssd or just replace motherboard/ram/cpu into something more new like z87.
8 GB is plenty for most computers i do not see a need to get more ram than you currently have and upgrading cpu ? you alreday have an i5 no need there really either.. just save your money. If you really want an upgrade get an ssd as a boot drive i would recommend http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA2W00ZD1398 250Gb one. and since you are willing to upgrade cpu and ram it would be best choice to just get a new motherboard and new cpu with ram then you would have everything new pretty much instead of upgrading old motherboard with old cpu which are very outdated.

I'm sorry, so what are the advantages to getting a boot drive? So you suggest getting a new motherboard with my cup and RAM if I do? Also, I understand with most games it's mk as is but I'm wondering for future investment, as games will only get bigger and harder to run.

(Also please note that 8GB is actually 16GB when referring to what I want)
