Hi all,

A quick question for those more knowledgeable than me. Something I have no been able to figure out for a while now.

If your Graphics card, for instance, requires 42amps and your PSU and only output 40 amps, what would the end result be?

Thanks!

Are you using 120V or 240V power? Or are asking just how much Watts is 2A in 12V ?
watts = 2A × 12V = 24W

240V. Total amps from 12v rail on psu is 40 amps. GPU requires 42 amps.

With 240V you have bit better efficiency.
