Ok ive got a 7970 and theres a few games that run like crap unless i use Radeon pro, im wondering if other people with a 7970/AMD card get the same problems?

First game is Dota 2 , when i scroll in this game its really choppy and its like skipping frames?

Skyrim does the same thing also.

If i run the game in window mode it doesnt do it, or id i run via radeon pro it doesnt do it even in full screen mode?

Ive never had these problems on Nvidia cards so its defo not my PC and is related to the AMD card.

Theres more games but these 2 are popular so i thought id get responses from these.

With a single 7970, it isn't a frame pacing issue, or at least, not the Crossfire/SLI "frame pacing" we've been talking about for a year.

Are you using V-sync? If you are failing to reach your refresh rate, with FPS, V-sync will cause stuttering. This is due to how V-sync forces the GPU to wait for a small time between refreshes, to be able to update an image. You'll end up with frame times of 17ms and 33ms, and nothing in between, which causes stuttering.

Both games run at 60 fps its no a V-sync issue as it can be fixed via windowed mode or radeon pro tripple buffering.

Its defo a frame time issue as the frames are way off!

I know the frame pacing drive was for xfire but this is a frame pacing issue.

If i run windowed mode the GPU doesnt clock up right and the performance is miles behind full screen mode.

Radeon pro eliminates the problem but id like to talk about it with people who have an AMD card.
