reinstall your display drivers and check the graphics card is secure and the heatsink is tight also defrag your hard drive

Not the graphics card directly; but it can take away CPU, memory resources etc. causing bottlenecks, and bringing down your overall gaming experience.

btw what is fb usage that you're mentioning?

not only your gpu drivers but all of your system files...
not installing antivirus software is a suicide..
you should install because its free and necessary

virus cannot effect your gpu but it can dramatically increase your CPU/GPU usage by running false programs in processes and if you didn't install anti virus soon you may get your files compromised. You can give a try to Microsoft Security Essentials, It's free, easy to use and don't put too much load.

I think your best bet is back up your shit and reinstall windows mate as it sounds like your hard drive is corrupted and needs formatting
