I just did a big pc upgrade and bought a new processor , some ram, motherboard and psu. When I came to booting the pc I pressed thw bower button , the fans spinned for a new seconds then shut down, then boots back up, then shuts back down withouth me pressing the power button again.
I found this very strange and removed all ram except for 1 stick, this time it booted. The gigabyte screen comes up but only tells me what to press to access boot order and system Information. I tried pressing a bunch of keys including del and all the function keys. What i found odd was that without even going into boot order it just selected my hard drive and booted into windows. I thought everything was ok at this point but i was unable to use my keyboard and mouse and there was no power to them although in safe mode they all work. I looked at the forums here and other people had the same problem but i couldnt find a solution, could someone help.

Like alexoiu said, try removing and replacing components on the board outside of the case. You never know what could happen. I'd try your other RAM modules, however it sounds like one of them is defective. Perhaps try to use a different keyboard/mouse. Like use a ps/2 instead of USB or vice versa. I doubt that would work, but it is worth trying. When motherboards start having strange issues like this, the source of the problem could be anything.
