Hi everyone,

Planning to get this:

AMD A6-5400K with iGPU Radeon HD 7540D
MSi FM2A55M-E
Kingston 4GB RAM DDR3 1600mMhz HyperX edition or G.Skill Ripjaw
Frontier Iris Case w/ "generic" PSU 600w
Hitachi 500gb 7200rpm
19" AOC LED

I don't know which ones to get after I have the above items.
I'm eyeing the CoolerMaster K350 case, the Antec VP-450w PSU and the Radeon HD 6570 1GB discrete GPU for crossfire(which, up to now, I'm still not sure how to do so) and A-DATA 64GB SSD.

What do you think I should get first? I mean, in what order? PSU>GPU>SSD>CASE? or what?

I can't buy them all at once due to financial reasons.

Also, does the K350 have good ventilation? Does it look good in your opinion? I'm also planning on modding the side panel, making it full acrylic(clear plastic) and will be installing CCFL neon lights(UV color, or what?).

I'm from the Philippines by the way and the K350 is roughly U$45. Any other suggestions within that budget that looks and performs good?

My first budget is around U$90(I can MAYBE stretch it out to U$100+).

The AntecVP-450w is U$42
The GPU is U$55
The SSD is U$72

And what future upgrades should I do?

TIA,
Adrian

What is your initial budget? A 750K+discrete GPU would be a stronger gamer long term.

Anyway, insofar as cheap PSUs, lacking filters and and protection circuits, can die for no apparent reason and can take other parts with them, that is the first piece you should replace.

Hi Onus,

Unfortunately, I have already put up a down payment. My initial budget was roughly U$335 for these:

AMD A6-5400K with iGPU Radeon HD 7540D
MSi FM2A55M-E
Kingston 4GB RAM DDR3 1600mMhz HyperX edition or G.Skill Ripjaw
Frontier Iris Case w/ "generic" PSU 600w
Hitachi 500gb 7200rpm
19" AOC LED
And a 500w automatic voltage regulator since we are prone to black outs.

I'll be getting these items sometime next week.

So, PSU. The Antec VP-450w any good? I'll be getting that first.
What's next?

The Frontier Iris does not look good in my opinion.

The Antec VP-450 is a good PSU; it has received excellent competent technical reviews.
Future CPU upgrades are always possible. Be careful of overclocking on that cheap MSI board though; MSI's cheaper AM3+ boards have a reputation for weak VRMs that pop under load, so I would expect their cheap FM2 boards to be similar.

At first, I was planning on overclocking but it turns out, I can live without it.
This rig is an emergency build, I just fried the GPU on my laptop and I can't even watch 1080p videos in it. That's why I have a limited budget.

I can't afford to risk overclocking when money is water under a bridge.

So, after the PSU? The case? What do you suggest? Does the K350 look badass with internal UV light(CCFL)?

Will probably get the GPU 3-4 months later. I just have to test the iGPU of the A6 first.

The SSD is also good for dedicated OS space. I just saw a review of it and it boots windows up to 5-10x faster than a regular HDD. I mean, that's just wicked. But I'm not sure if I should get it first.
