I have recently build a gaming pc, i have two hard drives, the first is a samsung 840 evo 120gb SSD, the second is a western digital caviar black 1tb, i have installed windows onto the SSD, but ever since, all my files and windows updates are automaticly going to the SSD, i want them all to go to the 1tb drive, is there a way of somehow disabling the SSD or making the HDD primary so everything goes to it? I want to only have the operating system on the ssd, not all my other files, by the way my SSD is named C and my HDD is named B, do inhave to change this to prioritise the HDD? thanks, i appreciate your time

you say you want the OS on SSD.. but then complain that windows updates go to SSD... these updates are part of the OS?

Its up to the program.. most will allow you to install ion a different drive to your C drive.. but even then - they may put some components on the system drive (e.g. drivers).. you cant really lock your system drive in the way you seem to want...
or you could.. but your system would have problems.. your system drive is in use all the time.
