Some questions regarding the installation of Windows 8 and drivers on my system

Hi,
I am going to be installing Windows 8 on my PC which I just finished assembling, and I would like to ask you if there is anything specific I need to be aware of when installing Windows 8 on this PC (see specs at the bottom)? Or should I just go straight ahead with a completely standard installation of Windows?

The reason why I’m asking this is for my other PC, which I built 1.5 years ago, I was recommended to load some specific RAID drivers during the Windows (7) installation because of some issues with X79 (following this guide http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/forum/303873-30-wont-resume-sleep-booted-raid#4360276), as well as setting SATA mode to RAID before installing.

Also, regarding driver installation, is it still necessary to manually install other drivers than graphics drivers with Windows 8? I'm thinking on things like chipset drivers, LAN or the Intel RST stuff – or can I just let Windows sort it out? :)

I hope you can help me with some advice, thanks a lot :)

PC Specs:
Intel i7-4770k, Corsair H100i, Asus Maximus VI Hero, 2x4 GB Corsair Vengeance Pro 1866 MHz, Corsair AX860, Gigabyte 780 Ti OC Windforce, Corsair 750D, Samsung 840 Pro 256 GB and WD Blue 1TB, Sony DVD-RW drive.

Thanks for your reply, sorry for my delay :)

So I don’t need to do anything else than setting AHCI?

Regarding drivers, are the ones I found below correct and am I missing something? (I found them all at the Asus website for my motherboard, http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/MAXIMUS_VI_HERO/#support)

1: Chipset driver: Intel(R) Chipset Software Installation Utility V9.4.0.1026 for Windows 7/8/8.1 32bit & 64bit.(WHQL)

2: Raid driver: Intel(R) Rapid Storage Technology Driver Software V12.8.0.1016 for Windows 7/8/8.1 32bit & 64bit.(WHQL) - Intel(R) AHCI/RAID Driver for Windows 7/8/8.1 32bit & 64bit.

3: LAN driver: Intel LAN Driver V18.5.54.0 for Windows 7/8/8.1 32bit & 64bit.(WHQL)

4: Latest nvidia drivers from nvidia website.

I'm a little in doubt if it's the correct LAN driver? There is another one called Intel(R) Gigabit Ethernet Driver V18.1.59.0, which I assumed is just an older version?

I figured the drivers on the disk is probably older, so it would be better to get more updates drivers online :)

There is only 1 LAN port on my motherboard though - don't I just need one of them then?

Regarding the chipset driver there is actually also quite a few things to choose from:

Intel(R) Management Engine Interface V9.5.14.1724 for Windows 7/8/8.1 32bit & 64bit.(WHQL)
Intel(R) Chipset Software Installation Utility V9.4.0.1026 for Windows 7/8/8.1 32bit & 64bit.(WHQL)
Intel Chipset Driver V9.4.0.1017 for Windows 7 32/64bit & Windows 8 32/64bit.(WHQL)
Intel(R) Management Engine Interface V9.0.0.1287 for Windows 7/8 32bit & 64bit.(WHQL)

I am not sure if it's the "Chipset Software Installation Utility" or just the "Chipset Driver" I need to install?
