AMD Radeon 7870 help

Hello, I have a amd Radeon 7870 graphics card, along with a 750w power supply
Whenever I plug my graphics card into the a lot and run power to it, it will send a signal to the monitor but then my monitor will just go back to sleep,
On the graphics card the fan is spinning but nothing else,
Please help me solve this

take the graphics card out then plug your monitor into the motherboards output if it works on there then go into bios and change default graphics to pci-e if you don't have a vga or dvi on your motherboard then your card is probably bricked

I go into my bios but there is no primary graphics option given
