Hey guys,

This is my first time posting, Ive read the forums for a while. I ran a search but couldn't find anyone with similar hardware to me with the same problem.

I built a computer a couple months ago and run a wireless connection to game. I bought an Asus router, NT-65U and a TP-link 300mbps wireless N pci express adapter. When gaming, typically counter-strike, I will get multiple episodes of lag spikes. My ping will go from 20-40 up to 2000, and eventually come back down but it will repeat sometimes every 20seconds. I called Charter about a month ago and they told me that there was an issue with their connection to my modem. They replaced some wires and told me everything should work fine. It did work better, but Im still getting these awful lag spikes up to the 500's randomly when gaming and at night my iPhone/ipad will have insanely slow connections to my network, to the point that I can't even browse a webpage. I called charter again, and they insist that there is nothing wrong on their end and that it must be the router.

Any help would be appreciated.

Yea. It happens with my Ipad/Iphone at night also when Im trying to connect to the wireless network. If I try to stream a tv show or anything its just stuck on "buffering."
