when I print a 12 X 12 image on 13 X 19 paper the printer is somehow causing the print to be shorter than 12" in length.

in other words it prints the width 12" but the leghth is reduced to 11 3/4". It is the full image just shortened.

I am using XP and have downloaded the drivers for XP

any help would be greatly appreciated.

11 3/4" may be the longest that the printer can manage, owing to the fact that the printer needs to leave a wide enough margin at the bottom in order to feed the last few inches of the paper through the rollers which are set further back than the printhead.

With inkjet printers, the minimum bottom margin is always greater than the minimum top margin for that reason.

If you don't think that's the reason, try reducing the size of the bottom and/or top margin in page setup of your printing application. use the "preview" feature in your printing application to check how it will print before actually printing. Any image cut-off outside the printable area should be apparent in preview mode.

thanks for the reply Phillip-
I checked all margins and there is plenty of space left top and bottom for a 12 X 12 print on a 13 X 19 paper. it shows top should be .12" and bottom .466".
So I am well within the printer limits.

I am printing from MS Publisher

the image has a line border around it and the entire image prints including the line, but it prints out less than 12" in length ( 11 3/4" ) Same every time.

somehow the printer is reducing the overall length of the print, but doesn't change the width of 12" at all.
