Is Windows 8 using AHCI On my SSD?Help Please!!!!!!!

I have already enabled AHCI in BIOS but in my device manager there is no mention of AHCI as you can see in my screenshot


So is WINDOWS 8 reallly using AHCI?Thanks in advance for helping

  1. Yes, you should be in AHCI mode.

    Right-click on "AMD SATA Controller" and select "Properties".
    Click on the tab named "Events". Do you see an event with the description "Device started (storahci)"?
  2. Also in Device Manager click on "Storage Controllers". What do you have listed there?

    You can open the image in new tab to read properly and yes it says "Device Started (storahci)"

    Ok, then that confirms that the AHCI driver is being used on your drive(s).
