It should work, but the question is how well?
The X4 slot will limit the bandwidth available to both graphics cards.
This will impact the performance of high end cards, lower end cards less so.
Usually X8/X8 is suitable even for strong graphics cards.

And... as a rule, you will get more and better for your money by assembling a pc yourself.
