just curious, I want to buy a new memory, should I go 1600 or above? because price difference is so small, I dont think it is a bad idea. But seriously what is the purpose of 2k mhz?Overclock?is that really really affect the outcome?

Solution
RAM speed (and timing) all count towards faster performance; although with faster speeds, it's less noticeable over overclocking a CPU/GPU. Difference really isn't that big, and only APUs really benefit from faster RAM.
