Best Blu Ray optical drive?

That Pioneer above is probably the best value (about $42), but if you want a WRITER it's about $62:

I bought my dad the above BD writer and some M-Data (Millienata) archival DVD's.

I also bought some Verbatim BluRay discs (20-pack of 25GB for $20; 22.3GB really.) for other storage once I calculated the storage was pretty cheap per Gigabyte.

*You'll also need good SOFTWARE to play a movie if you don't already have it.

**Check for FIRMWARE updates (add disc profiles to prevent bad burns.)
