Thats not totally accurate, I have seen models of Clevo that I would call a bargain, but many times they have poor thermal and noise perfomance as well as low quality HDD (the last one comes from personal experience)

I would suggest going with a Lenovo laptop. I bought a y470p a little over 2 years ago and it has served me well and hasn't had a single issue. Did notice the temp runs high when gaming for hours so I ordered a Cooler Master NotePal U2 Notebook Cooler for $20 and it has worked great.
