Hi everyone.
I'll apologize in advanced for any typos or errors as im sick ATM.

Well i own a Gateway Desktop a few nights ago i lent a family member my HDMI cord (worked fine) but when i got it back i couldn't get it to work. i hadn't given it much thought as i figured it was something minor that i could trouble shoot.

Well, that wasn't the case. Now when ever i connect HDMI to the computer my Desktop monitor goes blank. Not duplicate screen or anything like that but no signal blank. The moment i disconnect it it works find again. I cant even keep it connected long enough to detect the TV as it goes blank instantly.

We do not have cable so my computer is my only source of entertainment. I cant really use it tho at the moment since im mainly bed ridden with Pneumonia.

Solution
Well I hope you get well soon. Tell me if your Graphic card or desktop has VGA cable option. If does try using VGA cable to see if the Graphic Card or integrated graphic card is working fine, or try borrowing HDMI cable from your neighbour for few seconds or try your HDMI cable in your neighbour PC. Hopes you post the results back.

Well it is not necessary that you have to try VGA cable you could try HDMI cable. If it works then your family member has ruined your cable. And if you are going to buy HDMI cable try buying a little expensive one it will give you better result, although not so sure about integrated graphic card. If i helped you please select it as solution so the people won't have to bother opening and reviewing the alredy solved threat.
