Here is the problem I have. I have a Westell 7500 and being retired I noticed that my DSL signal would completely act like it is rebooting every 15 min down to zero connection and then slowly come back to speed only to have it happen again another 15 min or so. Countless hrs trying to explain to verizon then to Frontier who took over and I basically have lived this way for ten yrs. I noticed several other sites (forums)with the exactly the same problem as I. Here is one of them. " http://www.dslreports.com/forum/r25907623-DSL-Westell-7500-drops-Internet-connection-several-times-daily " My Neighbor/friend who happens to live 1/4 mile from me in a rural setting has stayed home from work due to sicness and has found the same thing has happened to him but at different times than mine and he has a higher DSL speed than mine. Does anyone have any ideas one how to fix this problem ?

It is certainly possibly that it is a service-related problem as we had this problem with Frontier at one point as well. However, it could also be a modem/router problem. We have 4 Frontier Westell 7500 modems here. The one with a firmware revision ending 3A that works fine; the other has a problem identical to yours. Then we also have 2 with the prior firmware revision (ending in 3) that have a "limited access" problem. If the wireless connection is lost for any reason, you will be stuck with "limited access" when you reconnect. The only solution is to reboot the modem. Frontier is just an awful provider, from their service to their support to their equipment. If you have another option in the area, take it. For me, they're the only game in town short of satellite which inherently has its own host of problems.
