Bad performance with the EVGA GTX 650 ti boost

My friends recently purchased a EVGA GTX 650 ti boost to replace his amd hd 5440 but has been recently running into some bad performance. He can barely play Bioshock infinite on medium, where i could run it on high or better with a regular 650.
Processor: amd A4-5300
Ram: 8gbs
PSU: OCZ StealthXStream 500w

Install latest drivers. I run BioShock infinite on ultra settings with an evga gtx 650 to boost and it preforms flawlessly. My CPU is an i5 3570k and I'm running 8 gigs of ram

I have upgraded my pc since then. I had a prebuilt hp pavilion with a A6-3600, but the A4-5300 is clocked at 3.4 while the A6-3600 is only a mere 2.4.
