sound is not working in laptop! :/

My laptop sound was working perfectly, but when i called someone on skype, i heard a weird noise, and suddenly the sound on my laptop stopped working! I have Samsung Laptop 300E5V, windows 7!

Please open up your volume control options by right clicking the speaker icon and select Playback options in the bottom right side of the start bar or go to control panel and select Sound.

From there make sure your main input device is Set as Default Device

okay, i went to sound, video and game controllers, i tried updating the driver, it said its already installed, how do i make sure soundcard is updated? pleaaase help :/

It works for a while, but when i again call someone on skype, same thing happens, thanks to you both for trying to help! i think i need to go to the computer repairing shop! :/
