This is my system details
Motherboard: MSI Amethyst-M
Front Side Bus: Bus Type AMD Hammer
Real Clock 200 MHz
HyperTransport Clock 1000 MHz (4) 1024 MB (PC3200 DDR SDRAM)
Microsoft Windows Vista Ultimate

My current hard drive is a Seagate SATA 1.5Gb/s, Capacity 250GB 7200 RPM Cache 8MB.
I'm looking to get a Seagate SATA 6.0Gb/s, Capacity 1TB 7200 RPM Cache 64MB

Solution
Likely NO......

That board is ancient, if I've found the right one. It Certainly has no SATA 6Gb/S ports.
Question is; does it have any SATA ports, period???? From link, not all do...
- SATA 1.5Gb/s (I would doubt that a modern drive would still support this ....)
- SATA 3Gb/s
- SATA 6Gb/s

Then, there used to be a limit on hard drive capacity:
- 500Gb (that "vintage" motherboard, your likely limited to this.........)
- 1Tb
- 2Tb (still some boards have this issue)
- 3Tb (fairly common...)
