Hi, I've recently put together a new pc and had problems with my video card. I sent it back and recieved a new one only to encounter the same exact problems.

When playing games it seems to have dark flashing lines running from the bottom of the screen to the top along with what i can only describe as a half inch shimmer, much like what you see in the distance on a road during a hot day.

That also works its way up from the bottom of the gaming screen to the top. I did try a different monitor that did seem to get rid of the dark flashing lines but not the shimmer.

Recent drivers are downloaded. Any clues? Heres my pc specs.

AS rock Z87 pro 3
i5 quad core 3.4
xfx pro 750w PSU
Sapphire Radeon R9 280x 3gb oc edition

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Yes it will fit perfectly, I have a Corsair 200R as well and it fits with room to spare, although not a ton, but it isn't cramped. A 750W power supply is more than enough, your rig with the 770 in it would use just under 470 watts about under full load.

The new R9 280X's and R9 series in general have had a lot of issues. I had a 280X myself that died as soon as I booted up a game for the first time. Went to a GTX 770 and had no issues whatsoever. Many people had to go through 3 or 4 280X's before getting a good one, so the fact that you had bad luck with 2 isn't out of the question at all. I would just keep RMA-ing or if you don't want to do that return your card and get a GTX 770 or 7970 GHz edition.
