I'm thinking about upgrading my Radeon 650 to Gtx 770

I know OC is required, just wanna know if it's worth buying 770 with Phenom ii x61090t.

I also have water cooling system for my CPU only, it runs around 25C when idle 29-32c when heavy loaded.

More about : phenom 1090t gtx 770

A GTX770 is a nice jump in capability.
Assuming you have a 575w psu or thereabouts, you should be very pleased.
At the very least, it will enable more eye candy.

A X6 1090T has relatively slow cores and will likely limit your improvement, but there is always a limiting factor.
To help clarify your options, run these two tests:

a) Run your games, but lower your resolution and eye candy.
If your FPS increases, it indicates that your cpu is strong enough to drive a better graphics configuration.
If your FPS stays the same, you are likely more cpu limited.

b) Limit your cpu, either by reducing the OC, or, in windows power management, limit the maximum cpu% to something like 50%.
This will simulate what a lack of cpu power will do.

Go to control panel/power options/change plan settings/change advanced power settings/processor power management/maximum processor state/
set to 50% and see how you do.

You could also experiment with removing one core in the bios. This will tell you how sensitive your games are to the benefits of many cores.

If your FPS drops significantly, it is an indicator that your cpu is the limiting factor, and a cpu upgrade is in order.

It is possible that both tests are positive, indicating that you have a well balanced system, and both cpu and gpu need to be upgraded to get better gaming FPS.

I did try both test.

Test A: My Fps did increase as i lower my resolution
Test B: I See no change or Fps increased a little?

An overclock will help for sure, and at stock ud only lose a few fps, in most games or situations. I run a 3.7ghz x6 and it handles and plays all my games no problem with my 7970, which is only slightly slower than the 770 and pretty sure equal to another. with the 1090t starting at 3.2ghz, it shouldnt be a problem hitting 3.6-3.8.

The only games u would see a performance drop would be older games or games that use two cores where single thread performance matters, but even then the gpu wont be maxxed to be stressing the cpu to the point u see bad fps.

Your tests tell me that your cpu is still strong enough to give you a boost with a stronger graphics card.

The phenom x6 are fine cpus...their IPC is actually way better than Bulldozer and still better than Piledriver. Clock it to 3.8ghz and you'll be fine in 99% of games out there. On a cpu intensive game, turn off some of the eye candy and it'll play fine. CPU intensive games are becoming more rare as time goes on. The new consoles are using pretty weak AMD 8 core cpus, so your CPU is more stout than the new consoles so you'll be fine.
