WD External drive not showing up

My WD external device is not showing up on my computer.

what happened: I was using my WD device on my new toshiba windows 8 computer and moving the computer, the WD device was pulled while attached to computer.

Now the device is not showing up on either laptop (windows 8 nor vista).

it is seen in device manager but not in device management.

can someone assist

sorry to sound stupid atm but can you expand on what you mean but spec of drive?
do you mean the size of the drive?

oh yea i checked there as well for the device but it does not show up there

ok i scanned it and found an unknown device (i assume it is the WD external drive as its storage space indicates its size)

I download the driver and install it but still nothing happened.
now the disk management does not load the virtual drives anymore.

however the WD device is constantly being reinstalled on the computer once connected. tho it does not show up. only location it can be found is in device manager --> disk drives
