I've just come back to school after winter break, so excited to get back to my pc, and it won't boot. I left everything in my room unplugged, so it wasn't a power outage. When everything is plugged in and the switch on, pressing the power button causes the mobo light to come on, but nothing else. I've checked the RAM and all the connections. There was nothing wrong with my computer before break, and now suddenly it won't even attempt to boot. What could possibly have happened? Thanks in advance for any and all help.

Solution
try clearing the mb cmos to rule out the mb having locked up. try pulling the power supply and see if the green wire trick will get the power supply to turn on. if the power supply power good line has failed or is too low a cpu wont turn on.
