Will more RAM make my computer faster?

I recently built a new computer and I have 6gbs of RAM in it in addition to 2gbs of VRAM on my video card. I was thinking about getting another 4gbs of RAM but while monitoring my memory usage (task manager) I notice I never go past 4-5 gbs even while I am gaming. So if I never reach my cap, would adding more RAM speed up my computer anyways?

Possibly can yes, when you get near the 4-5 might notice your HD light blinking, if so that's prob data being written and read from the hard drive as the RAM fills up , it starts writing things to your page file that it expects will be called back, having more DRAM helps reduce/eliminate that, also many programs will operate more efficiently and faster having more DRAM to work with/in
