memory compatibility corsair vengeance

I have my eye on these: http://www.corsair.com/en/memory-by-product-family/vengeance/vengeance-16gb-dual-channel-ddr3-memory-kit-cmz16gx3m2a1600c10r.html for my HP-Compaq pro 6200 2 sticks of 8GB, is there any reason for them not to work? the only mismatch is the clock speed (manufacturer's listing is PC3-10600 while these are PC3-12800)

I don´t think you will have a problem, 16 GB is a lot of memory if you´re just gaming, 8GB will be best, remember that you will have to set those rams on the bios at it´s max frecuency first.

Actually i'll be doing some light video editing, & 3d rendering, in addition to the daily autocad drafting. No gaming on this machine

Actually a couple of problems may come up - the mobo is only rated to 16GB total and 1333 DRAM - so 1 it may not even like the 1600 sticks and with a locked BIOS you can't make adjustments but an even bigger problem - these are 8GB sticks and the mobo supports up to a 4x4GB config - no 8GB sticks - unless they've done some major BIOS upgrades which isn't likely for a HP/Compaq
